What is Brainwave Entrainment?

Follow

Brainwave entrainment is any practice that aims to achieve brainwave frequencies to fall into step with a periodic stimulus having a frequency corresponding to the intended brain-state (for example, an induced focused state). For Focus@Will’s purpose, entrainment is aural, and takes effect with the use of binaural and  isochronic tones.

Brainwave entrainment does not have a long-term effect on the patterns of neural impulses. That is, very soon after the external stimulus stops, the brainwaves return to their normal state.
